Not-so-green smoothie

For those who had reservations about the green smoothie, here's the
same base, only with berries instead. They turn it purple, so you
don't have to play mind games with yourself. ;-)

Green smoothies

My new thing; so good and so healthy! This one I'd OJ, collards,
turnip greens, mustard greens, spinach, plain yogurt, a banana, a
kiwi, a mango, plus a tablespoon of maple syrup. It's a little
earthier than yesterday's, which was spinach and berries. Anyway, a
full day of veggies in one meal!

First haircut!

Just got back from Asher's first haircut. It went well, though the lady who owns the salon was WAY too uptight to be running a kiddie salon. When I made the appointment, she made sure to tell me that she runs on time and that 4 doesn't mean 4:15. Then when we got there, we were eating ice cream cones (stopped at BnR on the way there), and she said, "Oh, are you coming in here with those? I don't really allow food. I hope they don't drip..." Then while Ken was standing in the doorway finishing the last of his cone, Asher was starting to get fussy and I asked him to come in and help entertain. So Ken stuffs all but the very tail end of the cake cone in his mouth (no ice cream left in it) and goes to put that last bite in her trash. She runs at him with a tissue to wrap it in so the garbage can didn't get dirty. Oh my golly. We are SO not going back there!

9 months!

I have a really hard time blogging lately... Time is so short! Anyway, here's today's 9-month photo session.

UPS

I can't remember if I've ranted about this before, but I have to vent. UPS sucks. I live in a second floor condo, and whenever I'm expecting a package any bigger than a shoebox, the driver claims that no one was home to accept delivery (LIE) because s/he is too lazy to figure out which unit we're in and/or carry the package up the stairs. I know when they've really been here because there's a sticky note on the door with the time and redelivery info. But when they lie, they just do an electronic time scan for their computer system, but don't actually come to the door to leave the sticky proof. I want to bill them a whole work day's salary for my inconvenience. Lazy jerks.
